David Damore is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in American Politics and Research Methods and serves as the Department of Political Science’s Graduate Coordinator. Dr. Damore’s research focuses on the study of campaigns and elections and public policy at the state and national levels.
In addition to his position at UNLV, Dr. Damore is a Brookings Mountain West Fellow, a key vote advisor for Project Vote Smart, a Senior Analyst at Latino Decisions, and the President of the Southwestern Political Science Association. He regularly comments on Nevada politics for local, national, and international media outlets and is a regular contributor to KUNV’s “Our Metropolis” radio program.
Dr. Damore earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis (2000), his M.A. from the University of Georgia (1995), and his B.A. from the University of California, San Diego (1992) all in Political Science. He lives in Henderson with his wife and their two sons. The Damores are avid fans of the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels, New York Yankees, and the Oakland Raiders.
