  • My research interests are in Statistics in the area of Statistical Inference and Reliability

 

  • Kahadawala Cooray, the first PhD student in Mathematical Sciences from UNLV.  Cooray was the first PhD graduate in Mathematical Sciences from any institution in the State of Nevada! Cooray started the PhD program in 2005 and graduated in the summer of 2008. In the fall of 2008, he joined the Department of Mathematics at Central Michigan University as a regular tenure-track assistant professor  ( http://www.mth.cmich.edu/cmu_fac.htm  ).|

 

  • Sumith Gunasekera, the third PhD student in Mathematical Sciences from UNLV.  Sumith was the third PhD graduate in Mathematical Sciences from any institution in the State of Nevada! Sumith started the PhD program in 2005 and graduated in the summer of 2009. In the fall of 2009, he joined the Department of Mathematics at University of Tennessee - Chattanooga as a regular tenure-track assistant professor  (http://www.utc.edu/Faculty/Sumith-Gunasekera/  ).
