Membership Categories

Individual members receive a copy of NAME's magazine, conference proceedings, and other publications as appropriate. Each member is entitled to vote on officers, board members, and other business of NAME as outlined in the association's bylaws.

Regular: Individuals who are employed by school districts, private or parochial schools, colleges, universities, government agencies, organizations, or other entities.

Student: Individuals who are enrolled as students in K-12, undergraduate or graduate schools. (A copy of the student's ID should be submitted with this application.)

Retired: Individuals who are no longer working in employed positions.

Community Activist: Individuals who actively work in the community to support multicultural education, but are not employed in a professional role for that purpose.

Institutional: Schools, school districts, colleges, and universities, organizations or other institutions are elegible for memebership. An institutional member receives two sets of the same materials as individual members, and in addition may designate two individuals as its voting representatives.
