Pragmatism and the Predictive Theory of Law

Referring to "The Path of the Law" and whatever other readings in the Menand volume that you consider relevant and helpful,

(1) Describe the prediction theory of law (including examples).

(2) Explain why Holmes regards it as the only plausible account of the nature of law.

(3) Evaluate for yourself its plausibility, and

(4) Describe the way(s), if any, in which the theory is pragmatic.
