Welcome - Phase I

Scope

To develop written documentation for student records processes to assist the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in documenting existing procedures, identify missing procedures, address audit findings/recommendations and to plan an approach for continued applications support and future applications purchases.

Objective

To develop documentation that is:

Process Documentation Guidelines
(Only approved business template should be utilized for documentation.)

  1. Unit leader identifies processes to be documented.
  2. Subject Matter Expert (SME) is identified. Not necessarily unit leader.
  3. SME is responsible for facilitating and creating process documentation.
  4. After documentation is created SME can:

    * Give to an editor who knows the process for proofing and then to an objective third party for testing.

    * Skip the editing process and go to testing directly.

  5. SME approves the final document.
