About Professor Percy Poon:

Originally from Hong Kong, Professor Poon has been teaching at UNLV since 1989, the year he graduated from Louisiana State University with a Doctoral degree in Finance. Professor Poon also earned an MBA from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) and a Bachelor degree in Economics from Hong Kong Baptist University (formerly Hong Kong Baptist College). His teaching areas are introductory and intermediate corporate finance and investments in both undergraduate and MBA programs. Professor Poon also taught at Hong Kong Baptist University for one semester. The Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Finance, Financial Review, Financial Practice and Education, American Business Law Journal, Ohio State Law Journal, and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting are some of the academic journals Professor Poon has published in.
