Choosing Your School Psychology Doctoral Program

Choosing the setting for the next step in your professional education is not an easy task. There are many excellent programs from which to choose, large and small, close-by and distant, old and new.

The School Psychology faculty at UNLV believe that we may have just the right place for you.  We are a new doctoral program, built with a template of NASP and APA accreditation standards, with our doctoral studies embedded as a specialization strand within a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.  Our doctoral students are being prepared for positions as school psychology trainers, supervisors, and advanced practitioners in clinical and academic settings.

Intrigued?  Our doctoral students are experienced practitioners being trained as clinical scientists to bridge the gap between practice and research. Housed in a nationally ranked educational psychology department, their programs include core coursework in learning and cognition, research methodologies, and state-of-the-art training in the practice of school psychology.
