Each strand in the Ph.D. in Educational Psychology requires a minimum of 18 credits in the specialization area, courses completed by all students who are admitted for that specialization. Consistent with National Association of School Psychologists requirements for doctoral programs, some courses completed in the second year of the specialist program may be applied to this requirement. From the current Ed.S., these would include:
| EPP 764 | School Psychology Seminars |
| EPP 765 | Advanced Assessment Seminar: Neuropsychology |
| EPP 750 | Test Analysis & Inquiry in School Psychology |
The remainder of the specialization strand core, with focus on advanced practice, will be determined by school psychology area faculty.
* A minimum of 18 specialization credits is required. The actual number of required specialization credits will vary up from this minimum based on individual student needs.
