Ph.D. in Educational Psychology: Required School Counselor Education Specialization Courses- 18 credits*

Each strand in the Ph.D. in Educational Psychology requires a minimum of 18 credits in the specialization area, courses completed by all students who are admitted for that specialization. The school counselor education core is:

EPC 760 Advanced Seminars in School Counselor Education/Practice: Identity, Ethics, Pedagogy 2 cr.
EPC 760 Advanced Seminars in School Counselor Education/Practice: Theories 2 cr.
EPC 760 Advanced Seminars in School Counselor Education/Practice: Supervision & Consultation 2 cr.
EPC 760 Advanced Seminars in School Counselor Education/Practice: Advocacy & Social Justice 2 cr.
EPC 760 Advanced Seminars in School Counselor Education/Practice: Research 1 cr.
EPP 765 Advanced Assessment Seminar: Careers 2 cr.
EPY 787 Individual Research 1 cr.
EPY 793 Advanced Doctoral Practicum: Advocacy & Diversity 3 cr.
EPY 794 Doctoral Internship 3 cr.

* A minimum of 18 specialization credits is required. The actual number of required specialization credits will vary up from this minimum based on individual student needs.
