In each specialization strand of the Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, admission will be limited to the most qualified applicants based on a combination of the following:
Students in the school counselor education track enter with a master's degree in a school counseling program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) or must have completed the substantial equivalent of such program. Students with degrees in other counseling specialties will be considered for admission with understanding that additional coursework will be required as a part of their doctoral programs.
Your first step in the admission process is the completion of two application forms: one for the UNLV graduate college and one for the Educational Psychology Department.

The department application forms are available in the main office of the Educational Psychology Department (Carlson Education Building, Room 221) or can be downloaded as pdf files using the links below. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader Program to download, prepare, and then print the form. Information can now be typed directly into the application form, but it is not submitted online. Instead, you will mail or deliver the completed form and requested attachments to the department office (Educational Psychology Department, UNLV, P.O. Box 453003, Las Vegas, NV 89154-3003). Deadl ine for receipt of materials is February 1.
