This is a montage a student created for my Visual
Literacy class. The image has a calming effect on me every time I
look at it. There’s something motherly, primordial, and eternal about
it. The soothing blues, earthy browns, and skin tones also contribute to
this image’s calming effect, but there’s more to it than that.
