*       Highly Commended Award Winner at the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2009 for the paper entitled “Information sharing buyer-supplier relationships and firm performance: A multi-region analysis” published in International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, 38(4), 2008, 296-310.

 

*       Listed in Who's Who Among America’s Teachers, 2004.

 

*       2001 Educator of the Year Award, Asian Chamber of Commerce, Las Vegas.

 

*       Winner of the 1998-99 Undergraduate Program Teaching Award for Teaching in Major Courses, Fisher College of Business, Ohio State University, May 1999.

 

*       Winner of the 1996 Stanley T. Hardy Best Paper Award for the paper entitled "Approaches to the Factory of the Future: An Empirical Taxonomy" with Ken Boyer and Peter Ward, Journal of Operations Management, 14 (4), 1996, pp. 297-313. The award, presented at the 1997 Annual Meeting of the Midwest Region of the Decision Sciences Institute, is for "the best paper published in the production and operations management area."

 

*       Listed in Marquis Who's Who in the World, Marquis Who's Who in America, Marquis Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Marquis Who's Who in American Education, and Marquis Who's Who in the Midwest.

 

*       Winner of the 1994 Stanley T. Hardy Best Paper Award for the paper entitled "The Effects of Environmental Factors on the Design of Master Scheduling Systems," with Neng-Pai Lin, Lee Krajewski, and W.C. Benton, Journal of Operations Management, 11 (4), March 1994, pp. 367-384. The award is presented by the Midwest Region of the Decision Sciences Institute on 5th May 1995 for the "paper making the greatest contribution in 1994 to the field of production and operations management."

 

*       1990 Best Application Paper Award, Annual Meeting of the Decision Sciences Institute in San Diego, November 1990 (with Manoj Malhotra, Larry Ritzman, and W. C. Benton).
