Advanced Learning Opportunities
Students who plan to attend graduate school in psychology (and related fields) are encouraged to expand their working knowledge of cognitive psychology by participating in and reading about original cognitive psychology experiments. Two options are available:

(1) Complete psychology experiments on the computers in the psychology computer laboratory. To access the experiments and associated readings, please follow the directions in the guides below;

(2) Join research research projects in progress in Dr. Kemtes’ laboratory (or another faculty member) to obtain first-hand experience. If you plan to attend graduate school, it is recommended that you begin working on option (2) as soon as possible. Graduate schools (especially those in psychology) want you to have research experience before you apply. Talk to Dr. Kemtes about research opportunities available in her lab (
kkemtes@unlv.nevada.edu).
