Directions to the Exercise Physiology Laboratory in Paul McDermott PE Complex

My office is 326 Paul McDermott Physical Education Building. Telephone: 702-895-3766, FAX 702-895-4191

Directions: The lab is located on the West part of the campus: Enter the West entrance of UNLV on Harmon (off Paradise). The corner has the Hard Rock Café as a landmark. Enter on Harmon; cross Swenson (Traffic Light). On the left will be the Tennis Complex and then the College of Urban Studies. (Big gray stone buildings) and the Paul McDermott Physical Eduation Complex (we are in there).

On your right you’ll see the Thomas & Mack basketball arena. There is visitor parking (parking meters, so have a quarter) in front of the office complex College of Urban Studies. As you face the College of Urban Studies, the Paul McDermott Physical Education Complex is to your left.

Directions from campus: from the main campus mall (Ham Hall, Fraser Hall, Student Union etc.) walk west, past the College of Education, sidewalk café, Physics, EPA. Those walk ways end in the Paul McDermott Physical Education Complex, the gyms, and the pool.

Specific Directions for MPE 326 in the McDermott Physical Education Buidling: The MPE building (Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Lockers) has a security system. Although there are 8 entrances located all around this very large complex only one entrance can/may be used. The other entrances have had their door handles removed and loud alarms installed incase anyone has the audacity to exit through one of them.
The MPE complex must be entered from the Harmon Street (Parking lot) entrance. Once entered there is a security checkpoint, which examines your mandatory UNLV ID card (students, faculty and staff can get these). Visitors are at the mercy of the "guards." If you are visiting the lab or me you will have to explain that to the "guards" who can be persuaded to call the lab (53766) to confirm that you are a legitimate visitor to this "physical activity sanctuary." Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you!
