| Here are some of the
Journalism and Media Studies graduates from Spring Commencement, 2009. For some reason they wanted me in their picture. Go figure. |
These ladies (along with a
couple guys who chose not to be in the picture!) were the producers of Spring Semester's UNLV Views |
Work Continues on the Greenspun Hall Media Floor
Next Entrance Exam will be October 8, with Registrations due by September 25
This is a busy summer for your JMS faculty and staff. Over the summer our long-awaited equipment started to be deployed and installed in Greenspun Hall...something we've been anticipating for almost five long years. So, once again we ask students to bear with us; your patience will be rewarded with the latest technology and modern production facilities.
As the Undergraduate Coordinator for the Greenspun School, my mission is to work with students, faculty, and administration to make sure that students get the best possible educational experience while working on their bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Media Studies. To that end, my office is where a student will seek resolution to problems in scheduling, major course requirements, the entrance examination, and many other issues. My office is also a place where students can come to brag on their latest projects, talk about their internships, or even celebrate when they land that all-important first job in the industry.
My office is located on the second floor of the beautiful new Greenspun Hall, on Maryland Parkway, right next door to the Moyer Student Union. My office hours change somewhat from semester to semester because of the courses I teach, but students can usually find me on campus during the business day...either in my office or in the production facility
By following the links listed to the left, students will find everything they need to know about the entrance examination for the major (required of all prospective majors and minors), a listing of the undergraduate major program from the latest UNLV undergraduate catalog, a listing of all the courses we teach, copies of the syllabi from the courses I teach, and even a little about some of the writing I do.
Websites are, by their very natures, organic and changeable. I welcome your comments on this website and your inquiries regarding our academic program. Please feel free to drop me an email at the address and link above.
