A Running Rebel Dr. Erickson recently became an emeritus faculty member at UNLV. Indeed, UNLV has played a important role in his life. He received his undergraduate degree in mathematics at UNLV in 1973.  After receiving his doctorate degree in operations research from Stanford University and after a couple of years at Bell Laboratories, he joined the faculty at UNLV in 1980. He also met his wife at an Institute dance on the UNLV campus.
