Valjean Elanders UNLV Homepage
I am working on my Ph.D. in Computational Applied Mathematics so that I can work in business/industry/government (wherever I can) with other scientists in order to better technology and hopefully make the world a better place. I received my Master's Degree in Mathematics from UNLV in May, 2005.
I was born and raised in Sacramento, California. I moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1995, and I moved here in August, 2002. I received an Associates degree in mathematics from St. Louis Community College in May, 1997, then I graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis in December of 1999 with a BS in Applied Mathematics. After graduating from college, I worked full-time for the St. Louis County Family Court as a Programmer/Analyst. If youre interested, take a look at my resume.
I am currently teaching MATH 127 - Precalculus II
Current semester: Fall, 2009
I have taught College Algebra (MATH 124), Precalculus I & II (MATH 126 & 127), Calculus I (MATH 181), MATH 120, and MATH 132.
My UNLV office phone number is 895-5158.
