FORMER STUDENTS
Meet some of my former students. Together we have completed some very interesting research and they've taught me much about my teaching.
Tania Maria Lopes Cancado is director of Projeto Cariunas, an arts school for underpriviledged children in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. A retired faculty member of the Federal Univeristy of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Tania is known through Brazil for her piano performances and recordings of many of Brazil's cultural music treasures. Alice Hammel teaches for James Madison University, Christopher Newport University and St. Andrews School. With many years of teaching experience in music education, Alice is a leader in music for special learners. Click here for more information on Alice.

Steven Katzenmoyer, a music educator at Andrew Maier Elementary School in the Fleetwood (PA) Area School District, had his article featured on the cover of the December 2006 issue of The Instrumentalist magazine. Here is more information on Steven.
Don Krudop is the director of choral music education and music department lead teacher at the Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Salem High School in Virginia Beacvh, VA. Information on Don is available here.
Grace Ohlenbusch has more than 17 years of teaching experience. A former faculty member at Texas Lutheran University and University of Central Arkansas, Grace is now retired but teaches several courses in technology at the University of Texas, San Antonio.
Judy Ransom is Director of Choral Activities at High Point University (NC) and teaches several classes in the Music Department. Judy's faculty page is here.
Patricia Riley is an assistant professor at the University of Vermont. She taught for four years at the Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam) and has many years of experience teaching in the public schools. More information about Pat can be found here.

Martha Springstead directs choral music at Landstown High School and Technology Academy in Virginia Beach, VA. She is frequently sought after as a piano accompanist.
