MUS 751 Studies in Music Education Curricula

The purpose of this course is to provide graduate music education students with a thorough knowledge of conceptual learning materials, techniques, and practices.    Students will investigate current philosophies and objectives of music in public education, how music education is transformed into a discipline based on knowledge of child development and the scope and sequence of music curricula for general, choral and instrumental instruction.
