Bioarchaeology/Forensics/NAGPRA: repatriation, consultations, health of women and children in past populations, violence and trauma, diet, nutrition and disease, agriculture and health in arid environments, environmental effects on health, biocultural adaptation, bone densitometry, bone diseases (osteoporosis and osteoarthritis). Skeletal biology, skeletal analysis, paleopathology,

Contemporary Health Science: violence against women, health in indigenous communities, Native American health, US-Mexico border health, globalization and health, osteoporosis in high-risk populations, nutritional assessment.

Field work: American Southwest, Mexico, Southwest Asia (UAE), northern Africa (Egypt and Sudan)
