Honghui Deng was a Visiting Professor in Marketing Department, Red McCombs School of Business of the University of Texas at Austin. Now, He is an Associate Professor in the College of Business Administration of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. He is currently working as consultant for several US companies which include Rapp Collins Inc. of Omnicom Group, The Innovation Creativity Capital Institute (IC2) and Texas Tech. Incubator, Timberline.com and Asian Commerce Association in Texas, USA, in the mean time he is also the Co-Founder & CEO of HHD Consulting Services LLC.
Dr. Deng received his Ph. D from the Red McCombs School of Business of the University of Texas at Austin. He was so honored to be the last Ph. D student supervised by one of the worldwide greatest researcher, Dr. William Cooper. Dr. Cooper is the worldwide top scientist in Economics, Finance, Accounting as well as one of the founder of the Operations Research/Management, he built up both the Business School and Public Affair School of Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Cooper also received 8 honored Ph.D and MBA degrees from top universities such as Harvard University.
Under Dr. Cooper's guidance, Dr. Honghui Deng's research is diversity in theory, methodology, and applications of Economics, Finance/Risk Management, Operations Research/Management and Management Information Systems. He is a pioneer in the field of real-time operations control and recovery, generalized and expanded the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA).
Dr. Deng has published over 10 articles on western professional journals, 1 books, and many conference proceedings, such as Decision Science,The Journal of Risk Management, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences and European Journal of Operational Research. He is still working as the editor and reviewer for those journals. He worked as the Session Chair of The Institute of Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) and he also has been invited as Invited Speaker for many conferences, universities and industries.
