WebCT (Web Course Tools) are a set of educational tools for facilitating learning, communicating and collaborating through the use of the Internet and computers. There are 3 sites at UNLV available for your use in communicating with your peers, UNLV faculty, and other professionals. Communication tools available are discussions, chat rooms, and private mail. Click on WebCT at the top of the screen to go directly to WebCT. Once you are there you will need to create a WebCT account. Follow these directions:
You should see the Welcome to WebCT Screen. Select Create my WebCT. (note: If you already have a WebCT ID, click on Log on to my WebCT.)
Fill in the requested information on this screen. Make sure you write down your WebCT ID and Password. You will need these to log onto this course in the future.
Click Continue when done
You will be prompted to enter a User Name and Password. The WebCT ID you just recorded is your User Name. Remember it is case sensitive and must be the same everytime.
The next time you come to WebCT you will not have to create a new WebCT account, just click on Log on to my WebCT and it will take you to myWebCT screen.
The myWebCT screen will allow you to enroll in the project's location, Appletree. Click the Add Course button to view the listings. Locate Appletree and click the + sign next to the name.
Click the Register button to self-register.
Follow the link. Go to course. You
should see the home page for Appletree.
