Current Research Projects Involve Two Major Areas of Investigation:

 

Psychopathology

 Psychopathology:


Investigations of severe psychopathology, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders are a major focus of research in the Neuropsychology Research Program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas

 

CURRENT PROJECTS INCLUDE:

Neuropsychological functioning in schizophrenia and comorbid substance abuse (cocaine and alcohol use)

An Intervention utilizing Eye Tracking Technology, which aims to remediate facial affect looking patterns in persons with schizophrenia

Neuropsychological functioning in individuals with schizophrenia, including examinations of sustained attention, visual sensory processing, verbal memory, learning, visual memory, and emotional processing

Neuropsychological correlates of emotion processing in persons with Schizophrenia

Neuropsychological functioning in familial and nonfamilial groups at high risk for schizophrenia

Neurocognitive phenotypes in first degree relatives of persons with Bipolar Disorder

Cognitive heterogeneity in schizophrenia
